EDI Any-to-any file translation services
Electronic data interchange
EDI any-to-any file translation services EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) is the computer to computer exchange of business transactions in an industry standard format.
When one hears “an industry standard format”, they think that everyone in the industry does it the same way. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Due to the fact that there are so many different EDI standards (e.g. X12, UCS, VICS, etc.), different EDI versions (e.g. 4010, 5040, etc.) within each standard, and different preferences on where to convey optional information within each EDI transaction, EDI becomes very difficult to manage.
Most companies do not have the resources, expertise nor the time to keep up with all of the changes and handle these complexities across the broad spectrum of those whom they do business.
EDI any to any file translation
Dapicon understands this dilemma and is able to help. We can receive the data needed for the transaction in most any file format, translate it to EDI, and send it onto your trading partner. We can also do the reverse: receive the EDI file from your trading partner, translate it into a file format that is easy for you to ingest, and then forward that translated file onto you. We call this “any-to-any file translation”.
Formats we translate:
Application program interface
We can also utilize APIs (Application Program Interface) to get the data needed for the EDI transaction. If one of the above file formats or methods do not work for you, we have online forms that you can use to create the EDI transactions required by your trading partner. We can also receive these files using various communication protocols such as FTP, SFTP, AS2 and via VANs, among others.
When partnering with Dapicon, let us handle the EDI complexities so that you can focus on your core business.
